The artist members of Artituk.com, an artist-led initiative, are holding
their first exhibition in Pangbourne, Berkshire between 26th August and 2nd
September. Artist members are based in the UK and are
currently aged between 18 and 70. They cover a wide variety of subjects,
style and medium and will attract more artists living in the United Kingdom
who can reflect accurately the diversity of our people and the wide
variety of visual artistic expression today.
Artituk.com give a percentage of sales to charity and because of sponsorship
are able to keep administration costs very low. They are supporting The
Cystic Fibrosis Trust in 2001.
Artist-Led Initiatives
There is a school of thought that artists should be creating art not involved
in administration and marketing. However the artist members actively want to
understand the rest of the world on whom they depend for a livelihood and of
course for subject matter.
