"MESH: A Collaboration with Jo Gibbs and Stephan von Lingelsheim"
2001-09-10 until 2001-09-21
Waterloo Gallery
London, , UK United Kingdom

30 pieces of work created jointly by Textile Designer and Painter, Jo Gibbs and Furniture Designer and Artist, Stephan von Lingelsheim will be launched at their show #MESH# at the Waterloo Gallery, London SE1.

The work is an exploration of colour and shapes, for which the artists devised a specific technique combining digital imagery with painting. Their initial sources of inspiration are images, abstracted from our urban surroundings. These are painted and printed on different fabrics, then stretched transforming them into paintings/ objects.

Jo Gibbs has been making and selling her designs for haute couture in Como and Milan for the last 7 years. Some of her clients include Etro, Gianfranco Ferre, Marni, Christian Lacroix, Ratti, Mantero, Ken Scott, Armani.

Stephan von Lingelsheim is a Furniture Designer and Artist from Germany, who trained at Chelsea College Art & Design. Clients include Johnny Grey, Felix Dennis, Bar POP (Soho), the MANOR (Westbourne Grove), Bengal Cuisine (Brick Lane).
