The MORPHOLOGIES exhibition presents recent digital video art work produced at ZKM, Centre for Art and Media, Germany's leading new media research centre and museum. The exhibition represents the forefront of experimentation in interactive cinema, featuring work by several ZKM artists plus Australian artists who have undertaken residencies at ZKM, and examines the use of interactive cinema formats as a means of experimentally investigating the unstable complexities at the heart of current cultural vectors.

MORPHOLOGIES SYMPOSIUM

The MORPHOLOGIES symposium will focus on the development of new media art, from cinema to virtual and immersive space, CD-ROM to DVD-ROM, interactive cinema and art to net.art. Speakers will discuss the altered media scape in which forms overlap and mutate into each other, focusing on their aesthetic, physical and biological implications.
