Curated by Helen Klisser During, the exhibition is a celebration of 90 years of drawing and
painting by Cadmus, a prolific artist whose representational style transcended prevailing fashion.
In the book Paul Cadmus, author Lincoln Kirstein writes that Cadmus is A master of classic design, form and technique… he combined controversial, satiric social realism…. executed with the technical virtuosity and anatomical precision of the Renaissance masters that celebrate the beauty of the human body... Philip Eliasoph praised the remarkable vitality of his figures and described Cadmus as a major American artist of the 20th century.
