"Call for Artists: 2002 Vermont Studio Center/Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation Fellowships"
2002-05-22 until 2002-06-17
Vermont Studio Center
Johnson, VT, USA United States of America

The Vermont Studio Center (VSC) is pleased to announce the availability of three month-long Residency Fellowships, funded by the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, to be awarded to outstanding visual artists and/or writers living with physical disabilities. Artists who are not selected for the VSC/CRPF Fellowships will be eligible for partial grants made through the Studio Center1s own grants program.

The VSC/CRPF awards provide a month-long residency at the Vermont Studio Center, an international creative community located in the heart of the Green Mountains in northern Vermont, U.S.A. serving 500 artists and writers per year (50 per month). A Studio Center Residency features a rural, northern New England setting, the seclusion of uninterrupted working time, the companionship of talented peers, and access to a roster of 5 distinguished Visiting Artists per month, each of whom is in residence for one week. All VSC Residents receive a private studio appropriate to their medium, three meals per day, comfortable housing, and the company of an American and International community of painters, sculptors, poets, writers, and printmakers in residence each month.

Applications can be requested by phone at (802) 635-2727, by e-mail at info@vermontstudiocenter.org, or found on the web at www.vermontstudiocenter.org.

There is no application fee. To apply, clearly mark the Restricted Fellowship Award box on the application and write "VSC/CRPF Fellowship" on the line provided, then send the completed application along with a resume, the names of three references, and samples of your work (see application instructions). Applications must be postmarked by June 17, 2002, with notification by August 15th.
