universal arts Galerie Studio presents "Waves" Jacqueline Ditt and
"The Beat" and "The Roof is on Top" by Mario Strack. Ditt's work is computer graphics output as high quality prints. To accompany Ditt's "Waves, Starck generates music clips via the computer.
The exhibition "Waves" presented Jacqueline Ditt is thematically concerned with the different occurrences in speech of the word "Wave" or in German "Welle". Whether direct meaning or the transferred sense, the painter and graphic artist Jacqueline Ditt creates pictures or scenes useing different "wavewords". With collage, drawing, typografie and computer engineering she develops her personal and typical artificial language. To transpose the virtual results, these computer graphics are printed as high quality print in limited edition.
At the studio, we see the music clip "The Beat". On the visual side, Mario Strack uses simple, abstract graphics and typography to illustrate the music. Although the images are basically two-dimensional, placing the images in different layers we somehow see three-dimensional impression. Everything is moving with the rhythm of the music, which is, as always Mario Strack's work some kind of "lyrical electrorock". Smooth motion within and hard cuts between the scenes are the main elements of the clips, once again it is the beat that drives the animation.
