The Cultural Development Authority's Public Art Program for King County, Washington is seeking an artist or artist team from West of the Mississippi River to design and create work for a 2500- foot perimeter-screening project around a transit bus base in the industrial area south of downtown Seattle. The base is currently surrounded by a chain-link fence, much of which will remain in place. The selected artist may create work that attaches to the fence or is sited near it, as well as work with the landscaping between the sidewalk and the fence. Sections of the screening can also be accomplished through landscaping. The artist will work in collaboration with the project design team.
