"Call to Artists: National Public Awareness Campaign"
2003-09-17 until 2003-09-30

Indianapolis, IN,
USA United States of America
LEAVE A LEGACY(R), the public outreach program
conducted by the National Committee on Planned Giving(R), seeks visual artists
to submit concepts for brand identity images in order to launch its national
media campaign. Submission deadline is 30 September 2003. The goal of the LEAVE A LEGACY(R) program is to increase the quantity of
charitable legacy giving across North America. Currently, there are active
LEAVE A LEGACY(R) programs in 165 communities in the United States and 24 in
Canada.
LEAVE A LEGACY(R) programs are community-based and help the general public to
learn about charitable giving through a will or from an estate. LEAVE A
LEGACY(R) does NOT solicit gifts for any particular organization. Instead, the
program is a broad-based community effort sponsored by all types of
nonprofit groups including social service and arts organizations, churches,
hospitals and educational institutions and by professionals who assist
donors with charitable estate planning. These partners help promote the
message that all of us have the ability to "make a difference in the lives
that follow" by leaving a charitable legacy.
The national advertising concept consists of seven ads that tell stories
about people who made legacy gifts and how the impact continues past their
lifetimes. NCPG is looking for artists to visually interpret the concept.
Initially, the end product will consist of seven print ads, posters, a
billboard template, and a brochure template.
