Encaustics, a 2,000 year old art form, has become modern, sophisticated, unique and engaging in the hands of Bridget Busutil. She challenges the observer to join her in exploring the realm of creativity. This internationally educated artist has created a medium that evokes emotions both subtle and dramatic. Her work is the interrelation of organic components sanctioning the psychological reception of nature. This harmonious marriage of color and fundamental elements triggers diverse sensations, transforming each observer into an explorer.
With numerous layers of hot wax applied in several stages and a final polishing process, Bridget Busutil intensifies the colors of her pieces. She composes a melody of movement with her pigmentation; a sensation that the work is still in motion, continuing beyond the artist’s initial expression.
As you experience “Submerged” with it’s flowing blues and intertwining greens, the depth and vibrancy of “Dancing Trees”, and the swirling turbulence of “Electrical Storm”, expect to be challenged. In fact, expect to encounter a different perspective each time you immerse yourself in a piece. Join Bridget Busutil as she explores a unique dimension; accept the risk of a new adventure every time!
