"John Brosio / Tony Peters" - Two person exhibition of recent paintings. Peters pays homage to the often neglected historical architecture of Los Angeles and New York City while Brosio's depictions of tornadoes and their energy force meld with real world imagery. The gallery, located in the historic art and antique district of Pasadena, began representing Tony Peters soon after his graduation from the prestigious Art Center College of Design.
Since that time, Peters a prolific young artist has garnered attention for his work, which has drawn favorable comparisons to Edward Hopper’s iconic diners and disenchanted cityscapes. Tony “has become popular among collectors who share his appreciation of the history and architecture of the nation’s second largest city”. (Southwest Art Magazine, February 2002)
John Brosio has a Fine Art Degree from the University of California at Davis where his instructors included David Hallowell, Wayne Thiebaud and Robert Arneson. He then pursued a career in film special effects, but felt drawn to fine art and continued studies at the Art Center College of Design with Richard Bunkall, Ray Turner, and David Limrite.
