The Grand Forks Art Gallery invites you to submit up to three works in any medium for the exhibition “a rose is a rose is a rose is a rose” to be held from January 20, 2004 to March 6, 2004. Approximately 35 to 45 works will be selected from digital images and slides (preferred) or photographs.
A fee of $6 per work entered (3 works = $18) must accompany entry form. A modest artist fee will be paid to accepted exhibitors to help offset the cost of shipping which shall be the artist’s responsibility.
2-D works are limited to 12 sq. ft. (ie. 36 x 48” or 24 x 72”) 3-D works are limited to 16 cu. ft. and 80 lbs. (ie. 30 x 30 x 30” or 18 x 22 x 72”) Note: ceiling height maximum 90 inches.
Entries must be accompanied by slides or photographs of each submission and must be postmarked not later than Friday, November 14, 2003
The theme of the exhibition is broadly based on concepts that may be suggested by the words - a rose is a rose is a rose is a rose - written by Gertrude Stein. The words have come to symbolize that period of powerful creativity among artists, poets, & philosophers.
