From October 25 to November 30, 2003 an international artists exhibition will take place in Vienna/Austria as part of an international artists tour through Europe.
Webism ˆ Art connecting the World in the Art Hotel Vienna, Brandmayergasse 7 - 9, 1050 Vienna, bring together 10 international artists who work in various forms of digital media. American artist Dr. Rodney Chang (Pygoya), founder of Webism (1999) and German artist Ingrid Kamerbeek collaborated to make this exhibition come true. The artists previously met on the Internet and have worked to present this exhibition as the real thing.
Ingrid Kamerbeek organized and curated the First Pygoyan European Art Tour. She maintains a free Artists Portfolio at absolutearts.com. View her work at: absolutearts.com/portfolios/a/artingrid. This tour already started on August 8, 2003 in Angouleme/France. Bernard Dumaine made it possible. Further exhibition receptions will be held in Frankfurt/Germany in the Airport Conference Center on November 3 (Norbert Strippel made it possible), Sonthofen/Bavaria/ Germany on November 5, Vienna/Austria on November 8 and Budapest/Hungary on November 12 (Tibor Kovacs-egri made it possible).
Webism is the new ism of the new Millenium and derives from the Internet. Meanwhile it has become a steadily growing global cultural movement of all kind of art no matter what medium is used. Participating artists are:
