USA United States of America
It’s an election year. America is more politically and socially divided than at any time in recent memory. We are beset with many different, but equally pressing, social and political issues. How do these issues find their way into your art? How does your art find its way into the larger political and social discourse? "In America Now," to be mounted this summer at the O’Melveny Gallery in West Hollywood California, is a national juried exhibition designed to investigate these matters and provide exposure for artists across America to one of the nation’s most concerned and engaged audiences. Peter Frank, art critic for Angeleno magazine and the L.A.Weekly and an internationally known writer and curator, is the exhibition’s juror.
: Located in the heart of the Avenues of Art & Design on Melrose Ave in West Hollywood, CA, the Don O’Melveny Gallery features original modern, contemporary work with a lean the abstract. From cutting edge to blue-chip,
emerging to internationally recognized, we have a wonderfully eclectic mix of fine art.
