Lawrence Street Gallery will host a two person exhibition of abstract artwork by Anita Boulan-Stromberg and Sri Guha from March 2 - 27, 2004. Anita Boulan-Stromberg's collection exhibits abstract watercolor paintings, prints, and jewelry. Abstract paintings by Sri Guha, created using acrylics in vivid, bold colors, demonstrate a variety of techniques that bring harmony between different shapes, forms, and colors.
"My love of nature combined with my interest in color and texture lead me to create paintings and prints that can be described as abstract landscapes. Some are purely about color and design, while others reflect feelings. My latest endeavor is creating beaded jewelry which continues my exploration of shape, texture, color and design." says Stromberg, a Lathrup Village artist.
"My paintings draw from aspects of nature and of world culture. My travels to different countries instill in me a sense of inner mysticism which I try to express through the paintings" says Guha, a Troy artist.
