"Grand Art Exhibition 2005"
2005-01-17 until 2005-03-13
Haus der Kunst
The Grand Art Exhibition is being organized by the three groups of artists
Münchener Secession, Neue Münchner Künstlergenossenschaft and Neue Gruppe
and is under the patronage of the Bavarian Minister President.
Current sculptural works, objects and installations will be displayed on
2,000 square metres of exhibition space - supplemented by works conceived
for wall or ceiling suspension.
Besides renowned, accomplished sculptors
such as Lothar Fischer, Otto Herbert Hajek, Joseph Michael Neustifter, Hans
Peter Reuter, Michael Schoenholtz, Voré and Rudolf Wachter, young artists
from Germany and neighbouring European countries have also been invited to
present their works at the Haus der Kunst. Paintings, drawings and
photography, hitherto the focal points of the Grand Art Exhibition, have
been omitted this year in order to allow for a new and different emphasis.
The Grand Art Exhibition 2005 is being curated by the Münchener Secession.
