A kaleidoscopic trip around the world lands in Gramercy Park on Thursday February 10th in the form of Peter Guttman’s edgy vision. From the darkest reaches of a tropical rain forest with near-extinct tribal groups to the frozen ice fields coating both the top and bottom of the planet, Guttman reveals a mystical universe suspended in time.
The majestic and surreal landscapes captured by his lens have cemented Peter Guttman’s stature as a significant protagonist on the world’s artistic stage. Savvy collectors, astute corporations, innovative designers, and auction participants have all clamored for his fine art photography.
Gramercy 32 Fine Arts is proud to mount this exhibition featuring Peter Guttman’s award-winning travel photography spanning all seven continents. Guttman’s achievements are as expansive and impressive as his subject matter and are a testament to his photographic artistry. An award-wining photographer with much renown, Guttman has done assignment work across all mediums: books, television, magazines, radio, newspapers, even postage stamps. He has had extensive spreads in Life Magazine and has been published in every major travel periodical including: Conde Nast Traveler, Vogue, Outside, Men’s Journal, Elle, Geo, National Geographic Publications, and The New York Times.
The recipient of the Gold Medal Lowell Thomas Award from Travel Journalist of the Year, Guttman’s work has also been featured as a finalist in the prestigious Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Magazine Photography.
