River Gallery is a fine art gallery located in historic downtown Chelsea Michigan representing both emerging and established artists. We are coordinating a "call for entries exhibition" for the Great Lakes Area, juried by Sean Ulmer, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the University of Michigan Museum of Art.
River Gallery, a fine art gallery formerly located “upstairs” in historic downtown Chelsea has just
completed a 3,200 square foot renovation of an historic 1898 Main Street building. Since their
beginnings in 2000 the gallery has hosted exhibits for Gerome Kamrowski (1914-2004), Mignonette
Yin Cheng, sculptor Wendel Heers and other well known national and regional artists. The gallery
features paintings, sculptures, textiles, ceramics and prints. Since moving to this lovely old building
the gallery has also hosted corporate, private and musical events.
Gallery Hours: Tuesday - Thursday 11-5 Friday and Saturday 11-8, Sunday 12-4
