GALLERY twenty-four, Europe's premier gallery for autodidactic and undiscovered artists from around the world, is pleased to announce its call for entries for 2006. This year's call is open to artists working in any genre, including, but not limited to: painting; sculpture; photography; video &/or audio installations; assemblage; mixed media and film; as well as performance art.

In addition to applications for its regular schedule of solo exhibitions in Berlin & Paris, the gallery is accepting applications for the following programs and group shows:
· 2006 International Assemblage Artist Exhibition
· 2006 Sommerwende International Arts Festival
· 2006 Open Studio Project - Berlin
· 2006 TransATLantic Project ˆ Berlin / Atlanta
· 2006 Self-curated Exhibition Program

International Assemblage Artist Exhibition
Beginning in 2003, GALLERY twenty-four has organised this annual exhibition concentrating on exposing assemblage art to the international art market of Berlin, Germany. With its expansion into Paris, France the gallery will be able to exhibit a portion of this world class exhibition in Paris, as well. Annually over 50 artists from a myriad of countries exhibit their works for a four week period in the Berlin facilities of the gallery. Subsequently, pieces chosen for first, second and third place prizes, as well as those receiving honorable mention awards will be exhibited in the Paris gallery. Additionally, artists compete for the award of best in show and cash and prizes valued at over •10,000. making this one of the most distinguished exhibitions for Assemblage Art in existence today.

Sommerwende International Arts Festival
The festival, now in its second year, is dedicated to celebrating the arts and welcoming the Summer Solstice, an age-old Nordic tradition. The event takes place in various cultural venues of Berlin-Friedrichshain and allows artists from any genre to participate. For a period of four weeks surrounding the Summer Solstice a program of cultural activities allows visitors to enjoy many facets of the arts. The festival‚s center piece is the annual juried art exhibition located within the exhibition spaces of GALLERY twenty-four. Additional programming ranging from musical soirees, performances, reading and recitations through to a short film festival ensure that these four weeks of summer are a cultural highlight in Berlin.

2006 Open Studio Program - Berlin

In co-operation with its partner project, ARTLINE:berlin, GALLERY twenty-four is able to extend the opportunity to international artists to live and work in Berlin, Germany for a pre-selected period of 3, 6 or 12 months. Artists wishing to create a specific project or series of work are invited to submit their project proposals for consideration. Shorter term studio projects are available upon request and are subject to schedule demands.

2006 TransATLantic Project

In co-operation with Artists In Residence International, based in Atlanta Georgia, GALLERY twenty-four hosts this annual bi-directional event. Twice each year emerging artists from both Atlanta, Georgia and Berlin, Germany are selected to participate in this program. Artists from each of the two cities exhibit their works in the other city and compete for an artist residency in their host city.

Artists from Atlanta are given the opportunity to utilize studio space at ARTLINE:berlin, while artists from Berlin are given the chance to live and work in Atlanta, Georgia. This program is available only to artists living and/or working in Atlanta or Berlin. Further information: www.transatlanticart.com

Self-curated Exhibition Program
In addition to its regular program of events, GALLERY twenty-four makes space available within its Berlin facilities for at least four self-curated exhibitions per year. Individuals or organisations interested in presenting a specific body of artistic works are invited to submit their proposals for this program. The main focus of this project is to enable the gallery to present a more rounded and culturally diverse palette of works to the Berlin audience. Through this program it is hoped that individuals with similar creative ideas will have the venue to organise, promote and exhibit works of art in Berlin. This program is also available for other galleries wishing to expand their presence to Berlin. Limited opportunities for this program will also be considered for the Paris gallery.
