The King Arts Complex of Columbus,
Ohio is featuring a triptych in oil on canvas by artist
Ron Anderson. The new installation/exhibit is
entitled “Cargo: The Middle Passage.” and will be a
permanent installation depicting the transfer of slaves from
Africa to the Americas. Visitors will be able to experience what the slaves may have
experienced inside a slave ship. The Exhibit will showcase
three panels that measure 93"x48" (wxh).
Ron Anderson is an Ohio oil painter and an Art Educator. He
teaches Commercial art classes at the Columbus College of
Art & Design and for the Columbus Public Schools. Ron has
exhibited his artwork in Ohio and in New York.
Ron Anderson’s art commissions include an original painting
commissioned for the Absolut Spirits 3rd annual Art
collection and two portraits housed in the George Washington
Williams Memorial room at the Ohio Statehouse.
He recently completed six oil paintings for the Supreme
Court of Ohio/ The Ohio Judicial Center that are currently
displayed in the Law Library Gallery.
