"Call for Artists: 4th Annual Barns and Farms Exhibition"

Barnsite Art Studio and Gallery presents their 4th annual Barns and Farms National Fina Art Exhibition from June 11 to July 4, 2006. The deadline for entry is Friday April 28, 2006. All artists in the United States over the age of 18 are eligible to enter. All entries must be original, produced within the last two years and commemorate American farm life (past or present). Eligible works include collage, graphics, paintings, pastels, sculpture and ceramics. No photography, gicleé prints or substitutions of accepted work will be permitted. In addition, no work previously submitted to a "Barns & Farms" Exhibit will be accepted.

SELECTION JUROR

Diane Rath is one of today's finest painters and visionary teachers. For twenty years she has been perfecting her skills while teaching at the prestigious Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago. Her education includes eight years at the American Academy and studies with Richard Schmid, David Leffel, Harley Brown and Gregg Kreutz. She is a member of the Palette & Chisel, American Women Artists and Artists on the Bluff. www.dianerath.com.

AWARDS JUROR

Ratindra Das is a nationally known artist, educator and juror who holds signature membership in American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America (Master Status), Northwest Watercolor Society, Watercolor West, Mississippi Watercolor Society and Arizona Watercolor Association, A frequent juror of exhibitions and shows, recently he was one of the selection jurors for the American Watercolor Society and sole juror of selection and awards for the 2006 annual exhibit of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. He has won numerous awards in national competitive shows that included four awards from the American Watercolor Society. Ratindra Das attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago and studied with Robert E. Wood, Frank Webb, Cheng Khee Chee, Irving Shapiro and Serge Hollerbach. www.ratindradas.com.

AWARDS

It is anticipated that a total of over $3,000.00 in cash and merchandise will be awarded. Prizes are awarded by the Awards Juror from accepted original works. No artist may receive more than one award. Winners will be notified by phone.
