The Oscar Araripe Foundation Project develops artistic/cultural projects in the areas of Painting, Literature, Music, Theater, Journalism, History and the Environment. Located in the historic center of Tiradentes, Minas Gerais in Brazil, the Foundation is offering a residential program at the Gallery for exhibiting artists and researchers, facilitating artistic and cultural exchange programs within the country and abroad. Submissions are being accepted for the 2008 calendar year.

The Foundation's Collection Project comprises part of the Oscar Araripe's work, in the process of being catalogued, with close to 3000 originals, as well as unpublished and published works, including authorial rights. Is also contains books, furniture, documents, letters and other objects of value to the artist.
Also included in the Foundation Project is a collection of paintings by other artists, belonging to the artist, as well as others to be donated from each exhibition the Foundation Project holds at its Gallery in Tiradentes, Minas Gerais.
The collection also covers the intangible capital of all of the donated goods, including the techniques and practices utilized for artistic and cultural creation, for teaching, as well as the ideas, expressed in published books and articles along with those unpublished by the artist, including his world, the images that he painted and described, their meanings and feelings, of places, cities, objects and people, involving his interest in Journalism, Contemporary Politics and History, and especially the study of the Mineiro Conspiracy , the Confederation of Ecuador and Popular Action, along with other objects of interest.
Also included are studies and publications for CERFA (Center of Studies and Reference for the Alencar Family).
