During the month of December 2007 The White Room Gallery in Galway presents Living Colour: Paintings by John Nolan. ohn Nolans exhuberant contemporary style combines bold outlines with bright exotic colours. The visual power and vibrancy immediately engages the viewer. According to John : The colour is the vehicle which produces the two - dimensional art form which is the painting, so I put all my creative effort into exploring colour. Every artist explores the imaginative side of his or her palette, I make this the main subject of my work, whether it is abstract or contemporary. John Nolan has been a Premiere Portfolio Member at absolutearts.com since
John has been inspired by the work of many artists, including Vincent Van Gogh, Howard Hodgkins, Tony O Malley, Albert Irvin, Louis le brocquy, Picasso, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Henri Matisse, the list is endless. His father, who was an artist also, was a huge influence and source of inspiration and encouragement.
An artist over the course of his or her artistic life collects a language of visual imagery and it is how, as an artist, you put it together, this actually defines your own personal style says John.
Art is everywhere, all around us. All we need to do is use our eyes and enjoy. Art is for everyone.
