Maz Jackson, Premiere Portfolio Artist at absolutearts.com since 2002, will be exhibiting at the Passion For Life Exhibition hosted by Artemisia Gallery in Monte Carlo, Monaco, which runs from 5th to 19th June, 2008. Passion For Life is an international movement founded by Antoine Gaber in the fight against cancer. Princesse Caroline of Hanover is President of Gemluc, a cancer charity, which is also involved. Maz is one of 22 international artist members invited from Florence Biennale Artists to exhibit. The two principals objectives of the Passion for Life campaign are to generate awareness about the disease and to raise funds to support research. In part, for this reason, Passion for Life events include a gala dinner, conferences, and other awareness events to sustain this fight against cancer.

Maz Jackson states about her art, " I wish my work to have a timeless quality which the onlooker can dip into and be instilled with ever-changing thoughts, questions or smiles. Ideas are sourced from anything that excites: people, communication, touch, tension, laughter, flight, landscape, the spaces between and things sacred."
Using 15th century methods, imagery is worked up in tempera made from ground pure pigments mixed with egg yolk and water. The tempera is laid down on gessoed oak panel between gilded shapes of gold leaf. Much time passes between each process. Many drawings of thoughts and ideas form stimuli for the paintings which can take two or three years to resolve.
