The Latino Art Museum is inviting artists to participate in the
International Yearbook 2009 which will be published by January 2009, in celebration of their 8th Anniversary. (1.) The International Yearbook 2009 format will be 8.5” x 11” and 4 colors. (2.) Each artist will be entitled to one page which will show his/her photo, an Art Statement in English and
the reproduction of any two recent artworks carrying title, year, media and measurements. (the page design can be provided via email upon request).
(3.) The artists will be listed in the International Yearbook 2009 in strict alphabetical order within the following categories: - Painting (all media) - Sculpture, ceramics and objects (three dimensional works) - Graphic Arts (signed and numbered original prints i.e. lithographs, etchings, etc.) - Photography and Digital Art - Textile Art - Other art expressions (installations, architectural proposals, etc.)
4. Free distribution of the International Yearbook 2009 to art galleries, museums, art collectors, media,
etc. offers important exposure to participating artists in the United States.
5. DEADLINE for registration and submission of requested materials will be OCTOBER 30, 2008. Those
not meeting this deadline will not be allowed to participate and contributions mentioned in Paragraph
7 will be withheld. The Latino Art Museum reserves the right to decline a participant.
6. Your application must be accompanied by a non-refundable check, money order or credit card
contribution of $300.00 plus Annually Artist Membership. (Application Attached)
The contribution amount can be paid in 3 equal installments of $100. First payment has to arrive with
your application by the date indicated in Paragraph 5, above. Those not meeting this deadline will not
be allowed to participate and the contributions will be withheld. Contributions should be made to the
order of LATINO ART MUSEUM by check, wire/bank transfer to the Museum accounts or credit cards.
7. Awards
-The participating artists will enter into a drawing for an airline Ticket to the Miami Art Fair subject to
individual location of residence (a total equivalent amount of up $300).
-The participating artists will exhibit their art work at the Latino Art Museum “February 7 – March 28,
2009”, and the night of the Opening Reception and Pomona Art Walk they will autograph the
International Yearbook 2008, to private collectors and members of the Latino Art Museum.
8. The artists who wish to contribute in one lump sum before October 30, 2008, will receive as a gift one
page within the Artists’ Registry in the Museum’s electronic pages www.lamoa.net for twelve
consecutive months.
9. Each participant artist will receive five copies of the International Yearbook 2009 at his/her address
free of charge. Additional copies can be purchased at a price to be determined after receipt of all
submissions plus delivery expense.
