Foundation Nature Art Drenthe (Stichting Natuurkunst Drenthe) is organising - after 'Art and nature walk The Legend' in 2005, 'Art and nature walk Still Water' in 2006 and ‘Art and nature walk Green Revolution’ in 2007, ‘Art and nature walk Arti Archaeology' in 2008 - a new event in 2009: "SurViving/AboutLive". Artists are inspired by surviving in all the meanings of this word. (In Dutch it has a double meaning. It can de surviving it self but one can also read it as AboutLive). Possibilities are fore example what shelter do people need to survive in a hostile environment or how to survive in the contemporary jungle of cities. Next to this both themes it is also possible to react on the other meaning. Conditions for all proposals are that it are spatial installations or structures which are able to survive the conditions on the site (forest, weather) for at least seven months.
