About Alison Pierz
Alison Pierz hails from Wethersfield, CT. She graduated in fashion design from Pratt Institute, New York. She also studied museum management at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. Leading to opening StandPipe Gallery, Alison has participated in the curation and promotion of several fine arts exhibitions in New York. StandPipe opended in December of 2010 at 150 W. 25 Street in Chelsea. The gallery is deeply committed to promoting the work of emerging artists, especially those working in the tradition of abstract and minimalist painting. To date, the gallery has
created solo exhibition opportunities for several exceptional artists and is pleased to be participating in its first art fair. The gallery's current exhibition, Portraits, featuring the leaf-based wall art of Yadir Quintana, will be running concurrently with the PooL Art Fair and the Armory Show.
About StandPipe Gallery
StandPipe is a Chelsea-based fine arts gallery dedicated to promoting the work of exceptional emerging artists. For our inaugural group show at the PooL Art Fair, we are delighted to be presenting a range of new work
painting, photography, and conceptual wall art - selected from some of the Cit's most noteworthy young talent. Unifying the pieces we've selected is a deep commitment to creative vision, craft, and artistic beauty as well as a conviction that exquisite art should be both accessible and affordable.
