Fair in Library Park- A Summer Tradition
KENOSHA, WI - The Friends of the Kenosha Public
Museums are pleased to announce the 48th Annual Art Fair in Library
Park 10 a.m. - 5 p.m Sunday, July 15. More than 100 exhibitors will
be on hand for this annual summer family event which attracts
thousands of visitors from around the area. Stroll through beautiful
historic Library Park and enjoy fine art and craft displays.
InkaPirka, an Andean folk group,
will perform on the steps of Simmons Library from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Various food tents will offer hot dogs, brats, hamburgers, ice
cream, nachos and cheese, pop corn, soda, and more. Children can
make a paper bag kite, paint with watercolors and a beaded buddy
necklace at the Kids Art Tent located on the south side of Simmons
Library. A raffle will be held to benefit the Museums. Prizes include
a cash grand prize and donated fine art and craft items. The Art Fair
Awards presentation will begin at 3:30 p.m. on the steps of Simmons
Library. Paula Touhey, artist and former Museum director, will serve
as the juror for this year's Art Fair.
This
is a great summer activity for folks of all ages. Plan to spend the
day at the Friends of the Kenosha Public Museums Art Fair in Library
Park. Library Park is located at 60th
Street and 7th
Avenue in Kenosha. The Friends of the Kenosha Public Museums present
this art fair annually to support new exhibits at the Kenosha Public
Museum, Civil War Museum and the Dinosaur Discovery Museum. For more
