Feng Fangyu most recent series, Confused will be presented by Gallery Magda Danysz in Paris Photo from 15 to 18 November 2012). In this series, he returns to the traces of this ancient imperial residence, one of the most sacred places in the Chinese tradition, The Summer Palace (Yuan Mingyuan). The Palace and its magnificent grounds, which were destroyed in 1860 by the British and French armies during the Second Opium War, are a strong symbol of foreign aggression. Is it the one who deserve the death sentence; the one we are often at a loss to know what to do with. Who is the public enemy, in France, in Norway, in United-States? Why do we imprison private enemies, even friends, birds? Their work deals with the urban environment, focusing especially on the suburbs and abandoned industrial areas. BOTTO E BRUNO prove their talent by the diversity of their work including, photography, drawing, collage, video, and music and their excellent achievements. For the upcoming exhibition, Gallery Magda Danysz gives an overwhelming amount of support to this artistic duo.
