Tony and Tad's Excellent Adventure

Thu, Mar 14, 7-8:30 pm, FREE

Our exhibition Nice To Meet You is what brought artists Tony Labat and Tad Savinar together, allowing for a provocative and playful installation of their works in sculpture, drawing, video, and text. They have since spent hours hanging out and have forged a no-nonsense (well, some) friendship and will be back in town for a freewheeling Contemporary Talks dialogue about good and bad behavior, labor, and why they are not "stick artists." You won't want to miss this conversation, loosely steered by Artistic Director Stuart Horodner.

Contemporary Talks is sponsored by Possible Futures.

Are You a Foodie?

Sat, Mar 16, 11am-12pm

Do you have seven different kinds of salt in your pantry? Are you an intrepid diner who MUST try a new restaurant within a week of its opening? Well then this is the talk for you! Join editors and writers Casey Barber (Good Food Stories, Better Homes & Gardens, Serious Eats) and Nealey Dozier (The Kitchn, Dixie Caviar) as they discuss recipe research, blogging about food culture, and all matters gastronomical. Barber's new book, Classic Snacks Made from Scratch: 70 Homemade Versions of Your Favorite Brand-Name Treats, will be available for purchase and signing.

News from the Studios

Need a great studio? We have four studios available in the coming months and are seeking talented, passionate, and engaged Atlanta artists to apply. Deadline is 5pm, Fri, Mar 15. for more details. Our Studio Artist Program provides 14 of Atlanta's most exciting artists with subsidized studio space here at ACAC. These are active professionals who exhibit regularly, teach at prestigious schools, and energize the art scene with their efforts. We are happy to provide an update on what they've been up to, and where you can see their work. Read more on our Blog.
