Join us as we celebrate the life of John Paul Miller

As many of you now know, Professor Emeritus John Paul Miller '40 has died at age 94.

John Paul was one of the most gifted, prolific and yet modest artists ever to graduate from the Cleveland Institute of Art. In addition to making breathtaking and award-winning gold jewelry, John Paul was a painter; photographer; director of CIA's gallery; and professor of watercolor, metalry, and design to generations of students at CIA over the course of 41 years, retiring in 1985. He remained very close to many former students and he is going to be very sorely missed. Well beyond CIA, John Paul influenced and inspired artists, designers and collectors the world over.

Laura Gruen, daughter of John Paul's lifelong friends, the late Mary and Frederick Miller '40, has asked that donations in John Paul's memory be directed to the John Paul Miller Foundation Design Endowed Scholarship in care of CIA.

Please join us to celebrate John Paul's life at a memorial service in the Cleveland Institute of Art's Gund Building, 11141 East Boulevard, on Sunday, March 10, from 1-2pm with a reception to follow.
