MATTRESS FACTORY CELEBRATES 35TH ANNIVERSARY WITH THREE NEW EXHIBITIONS
 
PITTSBURGH, PA (JULY 25, 2013) - The Mattress Factory--the country's premier museum for installation art--will open three new exhibitions Sept. 12 in celebration of its 35th anniversary. Work by Janine Antoni, Design 99, Jessica Frelinghuysen, Scott Hocking, Nicola Kuperus + Adam Lee Miller, Russ Orlando, Frank Pahl and Chiharu Shiota will be on view in the museum's three spaces through Spring 2014. Mattress Factory Celebrates 35th Anniversary With New Works By Detroit-Based Artists

“Chiharu Shiota: Trace of Memory” Opens Sept. 12 in Mattress Factory’s New Space

With the opening of "Chiharu Shiota: Trace of Memory," the museum will debut its new space at 516 Sampsonia Way, adding 2,500 square feet of exhibition space to its campus.
