Travel to the far corners of the world on a musical journey with Celtic Harp, mandocello, guitar, and viola. Music of passion, dreams and magical landscapes of power and myth. David Helfand and Justin Lader return for their second Northern California tour. David composes and performs on Celtic harp, mandocello, and guitar. He is one of a select group of contemporary composers writing original music for the Celtic Harp. With his full lever harp, David utilizes many exotic tunings and timbres in creating his music. Justin Lader is a classically trained violist, violinist, fiddler, and improviser. Their music is an eclectic blend of original world music ranging from Celtic, Middle Eastern, Asian meditation, flamenco, and introspective space music, as well as music inspired by David's travels to Israel and Britain. David's album "First Light," was featured on the nationally syndicated radio show, "Hearts of Space," and he has performed internationally at the renowned Eden Project in Cornwall, England. The duo has performed extensively throughout the Northwest. Along with performing, Justin teaches viola and violin and David designed and runs a music program for people with developmental disabilities. They are overjoyed to perform their debut Walnut Creek concert at Harps Etc. Web Site - www.davidhelfand.com
