  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Michael Pickett - We all have wonderful talents to bring to the World of art as artist. Your unique style and ambitions are greatly respected. We are empowered by the inspiration of our souls, inspired by the beauty of the world around us, and, in our way, changing the world. My goal as an artist is to make a difference in the world of art. I am color-blind and I have dyslexia. Having overcome many obstacles in my life then sharing my findings to those I run across. I am painfully shy when it comes to promoting myself to different galleries and organizations and that's why I've created my own portfolio web site. (www.pickettonline.com) Competition in the world of art is so high that good artist will eventually give up, not knowing that in there own way, they really are making a difference, Maybe not in the world, but in the local community or their family and friends. ...

Themis Koutras - MY JOB IN GOD THE TRINITY JEHOVAH CREATOR OF LIFE IS TO CREATE THINGS AS A ARTIST AND PLACE SCRIPTURE ON THEM TO RELATE IT TO THAT ITEM MY IDEA IS TO REACH OUT TO THE WORLD IN EVANGELIST REASONS TO GIVE OUT SOMETHING WITH A MESSAGE ON IT THAT RELATES TO THE WORK DONE AND FROM THE GOSPEL ALTHOUGH I MIGHT MAKE THINGS WITHOUT SCRIPTURE LIKE TOYS FOR CHILDREN TO HAVE FUN IN LIFE I WOULD THEN PRAY THAT GOD WILL TAKE A HOLD OF WHAT I DO AND LEAD ALL PEOPLE TO HIS SON HOLY THAT THEY BE SAVED SO ON FOR I RECON WE ALL NEED JESUS CHRIST...

David Larkins - I've always been intrigued by the luminosity and transparencies found in watercolor and acrylic mediums. I believe an artist must experience the painting - to absorb the surroundings, the atmosphere, to have a oneness with the subject matter before the first brush stroke is applied. My style is described as "Abstract Realism" and my strength is found in the composition. I'm drawn to diverse subject matter that challenges the viewer to see abstraction in the ordinary - to meld the "real" world with the "abstract". ...

Austen Pinkerton - Artists Statement Austen Pinkerton If I turn my mind to it very quickly I can come up with several ideas for works aEUR|paintings, drawings, or sculptures. Sometimes ideas come to me when I least expect it, or when my mind is on other things. Ideas can be related to my current experiences, or to my feelings about things that are happening to me in my life at that particular time. Alternatively they can be related to a current interest, or something that occupies my attention at that moment, and my ideas and feelings about which Id like to share with others. A lot of my work is autobiographicalaEUR|either directly or indirectly, consciously or subconsciously. It is frequently very personal, and expresses events or circumstances or experiences in my life. I usually work in either Acrylic on Canvas, Crayon or Pastel, or both together, with Gouache, on card, Drawing in pencil, or Ink, or both, or with creating SculptureaEUR|for which I use fired artists clay. Sculpture follows a completely different set of rules and values from two-dimensional art, obviously, I think of it as Drawing in three dimensions and I take this into account when creating mine. In...

Claudia Luethi Alias Abdelghafar - Personal Statement from Claudia Luethi alias Abdelghafar I love to paint oil colours because they are smooth and I can paint in several coatings. So there is a threedimensional effect in my paintings. I love colours to express the positive attitude to my live. I believe that there is all the time a door open when I believe it. There is no sence to see the negative things in live because all the peoble around me has also negative things in there live. In 2006 I began to paint oilcolour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet. There were peoble telling me to paint abstract things than I would have the better chance to sell it. But I love to paint animals, to bring there soul and character on the canvas or velvet, to give them live that when you pass the painting you are just thinking: ups, this animal has it moved? Also the landscapes and citiescapes have to live, I want really not to copy only fotos but that the peoble can smell the woods or the salt water of the sea, hear ...

Ronald Lunn - An artist who wishes to become immortal must capture an historic moment. As an artist, the art I create is something that doesnaEURtmt have a simple definition. My artwork is about personal growth, I constantly strive to evolve and improve my techniques. I enjoy creating each painting or drawing to visually speak to me and the viewer, tell a story, bring up a memory, or have a pleasing memorable image that feeds the vieweraEURtms heart and soul. I wish for that my artwork may continue leaving a lasting impression, to hopefully uplift and inspire everyone to experience those same emotions, pursue their own dreams and bring refreshment into their life, to see the beauty that exists around all of us. I cherish the feeling that art can be fun, it makes me smile and I still get such a sense of satisfaction from people whether negative or positive. I love what I do and am extremely passionate about the arts. ...

Herman Van Bon - Keep investing in your childlike imagination is one of Hermans many quotes. He once traveled around the world as a technical photojournalist, nowadays he has been enjoying the beautiful, untouched nature in South Africa for almost 18 years now. Herman finds inspiration in the same nature. The perfect photo in the early morning is just the beginning of his creative journey I like to explore the possibilities and limits of digital art, I just let it flow to see where it can go, sometimes the end result appears quickly, sometimes the creative process takes months and other times the creation dies in its own beauty. Some reviews aEURoeBorn in the Netherlands and currently living in Napier, South Africa, Herman van Bon explores the poetic qualities of photography aEUR" sometimes literally, like in his series of photo haiku. His images highlight the ethereal beauty of the landscapes around him, and the above photo is no exception we loved how so much of the visual action takes place in the sky, with terrestrial life aEUR" trees, grass aEUR" merely a secondary character in a much bigger storyaEUR. aEUR" Ben Huberman WordPress aEURoeWat T.T.
