Terry Mollo - ARTISTS STATEMENT Stone is my most important medium. The attributes of stone motivate me to seek and appreciate the beauty that has evolved with time and natures forces. Whether marble, travertine, alabaster, agate, onyx, each piece has its own story to tell. Its hues, striations, translucence, brilliance- and faults- have history and mystery to unlock. While carving I listen to the stone and carve only enough to find, and unleash, its organic lines and its aEURoevoice.aEUR Im inspired by the point at which natures organic form meets the inorganic. I concentrate on the force and tension created between the two, and search for the line that is formed by their union. In my sculpture, organic and inorganic form often conjure human emotion, human condition. Natures sea forms, shells and waves, suggest human form, depth, fluidity, texture, tone. Botanicals are sensuous with leaves and flowers that appear muscled and fleshy. Stems of flowers, such as orchids or lilies, stand tall, appear happy or courageous and proud, while other stems are viney or gnarled and appear desperate or defeated. All are similar to the ways in which the anatomy and musculature of the human body reflect its deepest feelings and emotion. Terry ...
Michael Garr - I have been drawing and painting since Junior High. I enjoy quick art, impressionistic yet realistic, and minimal. There are interesting subjects all around us. My inspirations are architecture, people, light and shadow, the sea and boats, imagination... and the old masters. Get out and enjoy your surroundings. All my works are available as signed and numbered prints. I also do commission works, some examples of which are in the portfolio. I donate all proceeds to charity, and have recently teamed with SAVE THE BAY, a local Rhode Island eco-advocate organization, which receives 30 PER CENT of my proceeds. My opportunities for artistic expression have included drawing on napkins during airplane rides and waiting during my sons music lessons. In 2012 I took up oil painting for the first time, and my mentor is Lorena Pugh of North Kingstown. Ive done both Plein air and studio work in her presence, and am benefitting from the association. We have an informal group who meet and paint in Lorenas studio on Monday nights throughout the indoor season. I will continue to pursue art on a daily basis, and post the finished works here and on facebook for any and all to ...

Nikica Cvrljak - Coming from a family of artists, I have painted since my childhood. One part of my work, both painting and photography, is inspired by the region where I live. It is coastal part of my country with its Mediterranean light. I usually paint in oil, pastels, watercolors and I do drawings in pencil. I do both color photography and black and white for which I still use film roles. I dont have a habit of explaining my work as I think that painting and photography are felt in a way that goes beyond language. Doing both painting and photography gives me a satisfaction. I think that every work of art which is honest and inspired can make this world a bit better. ...
Stephen Robinson - My name is Steve Robinson and have been a photographer in one way or another since college. During that lifetime, I have traveled the world with my camera, photographing and sharing with people who will never have the good fortune to see the wonderful places I have had the good fortune to see. Along the way, my photographers eye changed. My images quieted, and I began to see the world through a very different lens. I no longer sought out the ordinary places the tourists seemed to go, and I began to find the quiet corners of the world where ordinary people lived out their lives. My images are not so much about the people themselves, but more about the places they call home, or about the places near and dear to the heart. In the past, I have visited places like the Galapagos, the deserts of the American Southwest, the wilds of Bolivia, Ecuador, Ireland, Scotland, the timeless tracts of Turkey, and the quiet corners of Italy. I have done all this, and still more. Each of my images is its own story, a poem of color and shape, an expression of soul, a blending of place, seeing, and ...
Monica Puryear - My paintings and drawings portray personal stories, dreams and fantasies of my deep connection with nature. I frequently use animals and plants that intersect in some way to create a feeling of intimacy and mystery. I use vivid colors and rich details of my subjects in the hope of inticing the viewer into my world to discover and relish the beauty they possess. It is my intention to provide the viewer with a respite from the violent imagery that is so prevalent in our daily lives, so one may enter into a richly colored world in a moment of intense beauty....
