Artists Describing Their Art:
Ariadna De Raadt - ItaEURtms always difficult to write about myself. I believe that I do not need many words to describe what I do. On my main page you can see hyperlinks that lead to my photos, paintings, vector illustrations, and a few articles. You can think that it is too many directions for one artist, but in reality everything what I do has a connection to architecture and design of interiors. IaEURtmd like to tell you that St. Petersburg (Leningrad) is my place of birth and it is always in my heart. Now, I live and feel like at home in The Hague (the Netherlands) and it is the most wonderful city in the world. As an artist I specialize in decorative painting. It's a new direction in my creativity, and it gives me a great inspiration since I can utilize new art materials and modern techniques. My last passion is photography. My photos are publishing in different American and European magazines....
Mimi Revencu - The Mirabilism Manifesto Art these days most often reflects alienation, desperation, violence, loneliness, old age and death. But art is a dynamic field, always looking to rediscover and reinvent itself. It is time to express something new in art, something related to our deep essence, universal and optimistic, separated from the daily madness. It is time for the artist to call for a change of attitude and spirit, bringing to life the present and not only reflecting the world around. I believe that art in general is meant to be perceived as inside vibration. And Mirabilis is pure inner vibration at its best. The Mirabilis artist depicts impressions and mental images that do not pass through the filter of a mental process. They are rather the product of his instincts. The images are featuring bright colours, lots of green hues and pink, no grays tones and almost no use of black paint. Colours are applied side-by-side with as little mixing as possible, creating a simplified, vibrant surface. Objects and beings are mostly flat but they are disposed in different layers and transparency of thin paint films is used in order to obtain deepness of space. There are surfaces...
Donald Mccray - I tend to focus on everyday observations of the world, real and imaginary. I want to make what I hope is a strong visual statement that will stand the test of time. I have a fondness for working in black and white as a tribute to the early masters. As I have said previously, print making is my favorite form of art; mainly because, you have to be a proficient draftsman, understanding line quality, texture, form, pressure, shade, tonality, perspective, design, surface tension and irregularities. My old professor (Lee Baxter Davis) at East Texas State University never let me forget figure ground relationships, and his theories for sequential values. The other side of my artistic palette is very comfortable when working with color, relationship, and harmony. My main desire when working with traditional , or digital photography with no digital enhancements is to capture a moment in time , and space. I am inspired by atmospheric depth, movement, design, lines, and shapes. I also enjoy the more experimental side of creating photography with a simple pin hole camera; also known as, a camera obscures. The creative thrust that I am trying to express is of paramount importance, and always at the center ...
Ageliki Alexandridou - I am Ageliki I'I3I3IuI>>I1IoI-- from Greece. None of my studies completed me till I started painting. Art is my main occupation for the last 7 years. My studio is located at Mitika Prevezis, a small paradise by the sea at western Greece. I love to paint beauty, wherever I can find it. Although modern trends suggest I should focus on specific themes, I paint what I feel to, avoiding labels. I also canaEURtmt restrict my need to express myself through a specific style every time. Instead, I try different ways, from classicism to abstract. I even though of trying Byzantine hagiography, and thataEURtms what IaEURtmm studying the last few months. I use mostly oil colors, though a few times I start a theme with acrylics. I keep looking, searching, experimenting since I believe that art, as much as every kind of knowledge, is an internal and eternal processing. My paintings are on stretched canvas, so you can hang them as soon as you get them, unless you want to put a frame. When you buy a painting from me, you get a unique, original, signed artwork. My artworks can be found at private collections at Australia, USA, Middle ...

Monica Puryear - My paintings and drawings portray personal stories, dreams and fantasies of my deep connection with nature. I frequently use animals and plants that intersect in some way to create a feeling of intimacy and mystery. I use vivid colors and rich details of my subjects in the hope of inticing the viewer into my world to discover and relish the beauty they possess. It is my intention to provide the viewer with a respite from the violent imagery that is so prevalent in our daily lives, so one may enter into a richly colored world in a moment of intense beauty....
