Artists Describing Their Art:

Nina Tokhtaman - Originally from South Urals in Russia, Nina Tokhtaman Valetova is New York based american-russian artist. Holding Masters degree in Art from University BGPU in Ufa, she has been working as a painter since 1982. Nina is award winner of Premio ALBA 2009, Certificate and Medal, Casa Editrice Alba, Ferrara, Italy in 2009. Nina is American Art Award winner in category Cubism in 2018. Many of paintings are in public and private collections in Russia, United States, in Denmark, Germany. Ninas works explore the relationship between ancient cultures, mythologies, fantasy, metaphysics and philosophy. The theme of science is also presented in artworks, like a homotopy and mobius strip. Nina Tokhtaman Valetova is an established artist in the current wave of bold, experimental artists. Exploration of synthesis different styles has been a recurring feature in her work. Her paintings and drawings cannot be driven into a certain framework of definitions and stamps. In general, Ninas art does not fall into the one category and style. Often each piece is created in several styles. This may be a combination of surrealism, geometric style,A suprematism, surrealism with abstract and figurative arts. Searching new way in creating art, Nina establishes Synthesis Painting Style in...

Jian Yu Jhuang - The early ancestors of Taiwan lived hard, and in order to seek the coexistence of nature, they used religious spiritual activities to appease the people. Combined with the local natural environment to create a unique general art show. Through temple festivals , without losing traditional norms, it is perfectly created with art. It broadly reflects social phenomena, customs, human values, internal contradictions and deep desires....

Pierre Davis Dutreix - Pierre Davis-Dutreix is an American painter living in Nice, France. He is one of the leaders of the French artistic squat movement known as "squart". A movement that started in the early 1980's in Paris and whose awkward name is a mix of two words: squat and art. The squart movement is virtually unknown in the States because it has been branded a revolutionary movement by conservatives since it treads on private property. Most of the artists have been ostracized by gallery owners for the same reasons thus creating an alternative network. The necessity for studio space for artists (painters, dancers, actors etc.) is fundamental and the incredibly high prices for such accommodations make it inaccessible for the average artist. Therefore they invest empty buildings, ready to be torn down or sold, and give them a second life by turning them into studios. Squarts represent a haven of liberty and a symbol of freedom. They form a battlefield where the last values are fought for, in a society where everything is conductive for the extinction of independent creativity. In many European countries like Germany, Holland and Switzerland, artistic squats have been legalized since the 1990's and Davis-...

Amimra Mimura - My artwork as A.Mimura is much known in different media such as the internet where A.Mimura facebook have more than thousands followers from the entire world. The work of A.Mimura is not an easy work because it's trespassed by expressionism and erotism creating a very unique language that remains provocative and simultaneously firm before the observer. In the line of Ernest Ludwig Krichner, Oskar Kokoschka, Otto Dix, Wassily Kandinsky, Egon Schiele, James Ensor, Munch, Picasso, etc, the work of Mimura goes beyond the mere sensation of reality, it gives you the vision of the psychological impression of everyday life experience touched by the fire of metaphysics. A.Mimura makes his position in Art as an independent artist. The naked and the human body, the mythological fauna, landscapes of the soul, which reflects a state of mind are the themes that A.Mimura explore using different styles and approaches with a proprietary position similar but oppositely distinct to Egon Schiele "everything, living, is dying," to Mimura "everything, dying, is living". ...
