Artists Describing Their Art:

Luise Andersen - Luise'Mignon' Andersen Luise'Mignon' Andersen has only recently begun to reveal her lifes work. Soon after her debut she exploded onto the mainstream art world. Her breathtaking pieces have captured international interest. The stories Luise'Mignon' is telling through her truly deep, layered works seem to decipher the past and foretell the future, perhaps sharing her window to other dimensions and a seventh sense. Her detailed acrylic'Mignon' series speaks to the beholder. They inspire raw emotion and ignite ones imagination. The indescribable nature of the "Duree De Ma Vie" in particular has a growing portion of the art community considering it the conception of an entirely new style. Like re-inventing my life... my purpose... myself.. .Gives me a direction.. the courage to look at myself ..and find'ME' there... Matthew Jacoby - I strive to create beautiful objects that help reveal the miraculous nature of being to the appreciative spectator. Images can serve where words can fail in the conveyance of this experience. Creating such art helps me to experience the miracle myself....

Alla Alevtina Volkova - Throughout my whole life I always found myself drawing or painting when i have free time. I was always especially attracted to oil paintings, because they seemed to be alive. Painting has always been my hobby and I feel like it captures me best. I always try my absolute best to convey the beauty and subtlety of our world, nature and life, to capture the most amazing moments in life on a canvas...

Michael Auger - I dream in vivid color and an assortment of animals with diverse and animated personalities are continuously filling up the inside of my head. I paint them into existence using unapologetically bold color and a thick, chunky acrylic that begs to be touched. My art obviously appeals to kids but it also appeals to adults who want to express their offbeat side. The characters I create have wild eyes and a slightly-off quality to them. I believe that the true test of art is if it succeeds in evoking emotion from the viewer. My paintings usually make people smile and sometimes even laugh. ThataEURtms a wonderful vindication which motivates me to create more. I also enjoy experimenting with alternative techniques. Many of my paintings reveal additional colors and effects when viewed in ultraviolet light. I am inspired by the supernatural and unusual that hide behind the veil of reality and believe that the world is better off with a bit more silliness and magic. ...

Caroline Dilworth - An Irish Artist, splitting my time between the beautiful Irish Lakelands of Fermanagh and the vast Lanarkshire countryside, I paint the celtic landscapes and the animals that encapsulate rural life. I favour a limited palette and loose strokes to infuse movement and atmosphere onto the canvas. Stormy skies should be felt from the canvas and you should almost hear the wind whistling in your ears. With animal paintings I focus on the reality of their sparkling eyes. They are the windows to their soul, and as such, they must reflect that individual's spirit. When you look him in his eyes I want you to know exactly what he is thinking. "My treasures do not clink or glitter...they neigh!" ...Caroline ...

Rebeca Calvogomez - I needed therapy. All this frustration, anger, sadness and introversion issues I've never been good at expressing my feelings with words, or asking for what I need, or saying no before I explode. And so come painting. No words, just images. Me, alone with my images. A perfect match. Even better, it could all be done with oil painting, so I needed turpentine, with that smell that I love so much maybe it makes me high, who knows. Getting your hands and clothes dirty, listening to the light sound of the brush on a canvas or a piece of wood and submerging myself in the colors and shapes that come to existence in front of me. That's how I find my pleasure. It started with painting images of small details, a tree, a rock, a street daily images that stayed with me because they captured my imagination, made me calm, or frightened me, or brought me back to some cherished memory of a sweet smell, or the wind on my naked body Windows into a world that was out there but come to live inside me. Then come "On Humanity", those abandoned dogs, and cook fights, bull fights, ...

Mahjoob Zohourian - When I was a 5-year-old child, I often stared at the motifs on the tiles, shapes of clouds, casual cookiesaEURtm decorations chocolate and cream mixture and carpet patterns and motifs. They all seemed mysterious and strange to me. I was very keen on drawing what I could see for my family but they always told me they couldnaEURtmt see as I saw them. In my childhood, I saw all human beings like animals and it became one of my concerns. When I was eleven, I participated in a drawing contest the topic was Oh Gush, How cold is today and I could win. After that day my art teacher encouraged me to continue my painting academically. My father always accompanied me and never stopped me. I was accepted at Alzahra University in Tehran with top score in Graphic Design. After three semesters, I realized that our work tool is computer not paintbrush. So, I decided to keep on drawing individually. After too many years of being apart from the art atmosphere, I could finally graduate from the university and got MA degree in painting in 2016. My works are presented and sold in various countries and I ...
