Artists Describing Their Art:

Harry Weisburd - Harry Weisburd is an Internationally Represented Artist, including, USA, Expressions Gallery, Berkeley, California,

Sir Mbonu Christopher Emerem - I conceive life and living in the context of our relationships with the sacred realm. Hence, my artworks and creative efforts place man at the center of function. With the combinations of Western and African motifs my arts are made to rouse the conscience of mankind, reclaim the human race, and restore humanity and the dignity of man. For my Paintings, I use acrylic, oil, watercolor, pencil and mixed media in the execution of my works. For my Digital Arts, I use computer and scanning technology and for my Sculptures, I use cement and fiber. I saturate my works with stunning and imposing sacrosanct by borrowing and using connotative images to show hidden force using themes that emphasize my sufferings as a struggling artist. For me carrying on the old conventions is not enough. Although I take them into account, I also seek inspiration from the life around me in order to make the traditions serve modern times. As life reveals to me its fresh meanings, I find it difficult not to reflect on them. All in all, I am either stimulated by my personal experiences of life or by environmental, touching, mind-purifying and life-consoling experiences to which...

Shoshannah Brombacher - Art makes the world within the artist visible. Classical music, poetry, Jewish and Chassidic stories, traveling, the love for people and memories of eras gone but not forgotten, cities where I lived and worked, like Amsterdam, Berlin, Jerusalem, New York, or visited, like Prague and Sicily, are the main ingredients of my art. My art is like the water of the canals of my native Amsterdam, Rembrandts city, the deeper you look into it, the more you see. A reflection of a reflection of a reflection...look, what you see is not what you see. My art contains texts and letters, lets writing come alive, and reflects my deep connection with the Dutch 17th century Masters, German expressionism, Russian art and medieval miniatures. My art is also a tribute to music and the world of the great Chassidic masters of Eastern Europe. The Kotzker Rebbe listened to a Chassidic storyteller in the street and stated He told what he wanted and I heard what I needed. That is Art. ...

Hans-Ruedi Kammermann - Painting for me is passion, a fascinating process of seeing that alters the vision of things. The everyday becomes special, unique, unknown. What is seen, is never what is painted, yet the painting becomes a new reality. I don't invent abstract images but the act of accumulating material on the canvas creates form and color - being materialistic in order to transform matter into imagination and perception. In the process of painting I find new images, something appears, stimulates vision, projects lost or remembered entities, becomes alive and finally communicates. ...

Hampton Olfus - ARTIST STATEMENT Over the past twelve years, IaEURtmve been working in acrylic paint, ink, pencil and mixed media. During this time period, I was inspired by an assortment of topics, while repeating one of my mainstay topics, music, and culture. Creating in the moment, allows the intuitive sensibilities too be part of the process. I bring an eclectic aesthetics with me into the studio, which I transfer into what I create. My true emotions, is what I aspire to transfer, visually to the viewer, through the media. Hampton R. Olfus, Jr. Artist ...

Norbert Szuk - My artwork can be divided into periods by idea, emotion and impression. I am proud that the pulsating colours of my pictures have been accepted by Playboy Magazine in Hungary, as well as by the world-famous electronic record company, Some Bizarre Studios in London, for whom I occasionally design CD covers. I have achieved success in the field of illustration and my own artistic universe in which I blend different trends. Apart from my own style, I also paint Japanese manga pictures where I mix European art forms with Far-Eastern images like wayang, so that my artistic style might be called international. My manga and wayang figures express emotions and passion, animated by various ideas. My heart and emotions are European, my ideas are nurtured by Spanish surrealism, my images promote the harmony of the Far-Eastern world. I always maintain a broad perspective. As well as painting, I have worked in international festival management in Hungary and abroad. I deal with graffiti, airbrush, ice, sand, giant painting and various other kinds of installations, art camps, designs, illustrations and exhibition organizing. I have created 120 minor and major art programmes and movements. From art festival management, I am ...

Bruno Lassalle - The art of Bruno Lassalle goes beyond the ordinary rules and hierarchies. With an amazing freedom, he opposes shapes and colours. He takes us into a poetic world where composition and strength show through colour, contrasts and rhythmic mobility, within a unified space of supreme autonomy. He takes us into a world of dreams, almost unreal and yet warm, sensual, exotic and surprisingly tangible. His works speak of life, of those moments of happiness, tenderness, loneliness or boredom that punctuate our existence, and they seem to speak intimately about us. Galerie Aude Oumow, Saint Germain-en-laye, Juin 1996 ...

Solange Berger - StatementA In our busy life, I dream to make you see and look at life through my paintings. I always strive to capture the beauty of creation.A People are my source of inspiration. I hope you will travel with me, dance with the dancer and enjoy living. Painting is for me a process of joy, peace, excitement and challenge.A But most of all, speaking without words, expressing feelings without speech... BiographyA Born in Switzerland in 1969, Solange Berger's childhood included drawing and music. Even after earning a degree in architecture, Solange found herself drawn more to the artistic nature of the profession than to the technical side of it.A Five years later, after receiving a box of paint as a birthday gift, she found herself awakening to her artistic talents. After some self-teaching, she moved with her husband to the United States. Over the following three years, she studied under famous California-based teachers -- and her artistry blossomed. In 2000, Solange began to show and sell her work with the San Francisco Bay Area's Abbey Foundation for the Arts.A Returning to her homeland in 2001, Solange Berger continued to express herself through painting, inspired by impressionist painters ...

Troy Whitethorne - "to create, is to put your soul, on paper,!" i love still life, cultural art, abstracts and nudes. My passion for art, is number one on my list, i love art, and its a way to express who i am.......
