Sandra Golbert - My work is in Fiber, mostly hand-made paper, wood, or hand-dyed silk with surface design. I began working in fibers more than 50 years ago as a child, when I designed and made dolls' clothes! Then I went on to design costumes and clothing for "real people", and my designs appeared in Vogue magazine. When I no longer lived in the US, I could not work as a "seamstress/designer" since I was considered an alien, so I began to put my fibers on the wall instead of the body, making intricately embroidered wall hangings and sculptures. Urged by my friends, I entered juried exhibits and to my surprise, was accepted in a great many of them. Since then, I have worked steadily on my art, "supporting my habit" by working as a free-lance costumer, jewelry maker, designer, office clerk, theatre producer, computer-er, puppet-dresser, photo stylist, baby-sitter and anything else available to me. Through the years, I have received many grants, two residencies and much help from my children so that I might continue my work. Two of my pieces were chosen to be in an exhibit called "9x9x3" at the American Craft Museum ...

James Piatt - i'm a conceptual artist working in a wide range of media and concepts. My major influences have been from the post war artists such as J.Beuys, with whom i corresponded and created empathic and political works in the 60's and 70's. I am interested in all information related to man , nature and aesthetics. I find the European aesthetic and American concepts/context in combination most interesting. Gregory Liffick - I like to find new life in old, found items. I perform a kind of plastic or reconstructive surgery on the materials that I find in thrift stores and other like places, refinishing and refreshing their skin with spray enamel or acrylic paint and reforming and improving their shapes with bits and pieces from elsewhere. In the process of reimaging the items, I resurrect them from the past and bring them into the present, making them current and relevant through the concepts and messages I attach to them, commentaries on the state of things in the world today. I give new purpose and interest to items that have lost their place in the onrush of use and fashion. I take once upon a time materials and try to make them timeless....

Dana Zivanovits - Dana Zivanovits was born in 1958 in Columbus, Ohio and received his art training from the Columbus College of Art and Design (1978 to 1982). After art school, he went abroad for a year and studied the art of the old masters in London, Paris, Madrid, Rome and Venice. Returning to his studio in Columbus to develop these influences into a new body of work, he then traveled to Mexico and studied the sculpture and painting of that country for an extended period. The unique and vivid colors of Palenque and Vera Cruz intensified his palette. After a period in Ohio, he then moved to Venice Beach, California where the brilliant light of the region reinforced his desire to capture effects of sunlight and atmosphere. Returning to Ohio in 1995, he has continued to paint themes deriving inspiration form sources such as world mythology, classic and B-grade cinema, literature and dreams. However his primary inspiration is direct observation from nature, versus an approach based in art theories or cultural critique. Christine Lytwynczuk - Christine's paintings are about the human experience: relationships, emotions and introspection. She strives to evoke the feelings of empathy, hope, serenity and comfort through her work. Her paintings have a commanding presence, yet are quiet and exude a sense of intimacy. To be in a room with one of her paintings is like being in the presence of a close friend. Christine often paints children from different cultures, for children experience the same thoughts, fears, hopes and aspirations as adults, but they do not have emotional masks to hide behind. She paints from different cultures to highlight our inner similarities and because she is enthralled with the diverse ornamentation and design found throughout all lands.
