Zsuzsa Naszodi - The art of painting for me is a straightforward process of visual representation of my feelings in response to a given subject. Be it a human face, landscape, a still-life or a fleeting gesture of a scene in a cafe, they all serve as triggers for emotional movement which I try to translate into the language of line, shape and color. My fascination with the world of Art, started early in my childhood but it was only when I felt free of my obligations as a mother and a successful business woman, that I could devote myself entirely to development of my second career as an artist- painter. After few years of an arduous process of picking up the essentials of the painting techniques as well as visual thinking and color experimentation, I feel myself ready to exhibit my work and thus closing the creative cycle which begins usually with the initial sketches and exploration of the subject in which I am interested in any given time. I believe in inspiration and part of my process is concerned with achieving that blissful stage in the creative work when the technique doesn't occupy any conscious thought and flows smoothly...

Jorge Gallardo - "Creating beauty through art" is the theme of my artwork. My art is something that I love to share with the world; an expression of myself. The main message I convey is beauty; beauty is a universal quality associated with harmony of form or color, excellence of craftsmanship or originality. These qualities embody my art. I want you to view the painting or drawing and be part of it; if it makes you feel happy, inspired or uplifted, I've accomplished my goal....

Aurelio Zerla - Aurelio Zerla has been painting for many years. He learned oil painting from his art teacher in middle school in his native Italy, in beautiful medieval Spoleto. In his paintings he expresses his love for color mainly through depictions of scenes from Italy, fantasy dreamy landscapes and some abstract works. His inspiration ranges from the Italian renaissance to Impressionism, to modern Italian art....

Jeanie Merila - Art surrounds my life like a blanket, filling my senses with joy and giving me a place to weep with color. Sometimes art is a mirror of my life, but other times it is what remains after life filters through my vision. My art is about color and light. The way light bounces off buildings in the afternoon sun, shadows flickering like transforming clouds. The colors vibrate next to each other, the patterns of leaves and bricks create harmony. The wavering reflections in windows, puddles and canals continue to fascinate me - sky and water become one. I have painted flowers over and over for 20 years, yet the pure hues continue to blend and dance in my watercolors like newborns. The silence of the ocean as I swim below the surface inspires me. The waves above leave twisting shadows on the progressing, swirling sand. The rainbow fish darting among the coral remind me of insects hovering around thriving buds as I gaze into the mystery of the deep azure, waiting for the turtle, manta or shark. The breath of my soul is often revealed through the mystical depths of the ocean or the burst of color on a fragrant bloom. ...

Iwona Jankowski - My first works of art I have created as a child depicted horses. Drawing them, I thought I could feel every muscle of the horse I drew. It was far from perfect but the feeling remains. Even today, after many years, my favorite subject is Horses. For me the horse, beside the beautiful gracious body, is a symbol of a free soul, loyalty and trust. Especially Ii?1/2m fascinated by their eyes. An eye, as old people say, is a window to a soul. When you look in their trustful eyes, you can see they want to connect with us and are always as a vivid shadow that needs to be close, to follow and to please, and blindly doni?1/2t expect anything in return i?1/2 just hopes for love and simple friendship for life. Over the past ten years my work has transformed from a semi-realistic, simplified close-ups of my subjects, into a floating, colorful i?1/2Mottledi?1/2 compositions. My Mottled Horses - Equine art developed since 2003-4 in my new i?1/2Mottledi?1/2 style that merges abstract and expressionism with a touch of realism. The subject is created on a colorful abstract background to express feelings, often shown as a close-...

Julie Hall- Rainey - Growing up in Mississippi and the daughter of a farmer one learns to love the land ,seasons, and the southern way of life. Finding a way to express this love has been a life long struggle. How do you express the smell of a sweet wild jasmine, the feel of fresh plowed red clay under your bare feet, the sounds of a creek as it rambles down to the muddy Mississippi River or the taste of boiled coffee in a syrup bucket on the banks of a river? Trying with color, feeling, and hard work on a road less traveled, but one that you can hear the wind as it blows though the dry corn stalks on....

Steven Gordon - Light is the quintessential component in Steven Gordons powerfully luminous landscapes of California. They derive their strength from the artists intimate dialogue with land and light At times I feel as if Im painting with light. Its exciting to take something so completely ephemeral and control and create with it. Since his arrival in California from the Midwest Gordon has been focusing on the visual impact of changing light effects in the Napa Valley wine growing region of California. Continuously exploring and formulating new visions, he has been producing pastel and oil paintings of rare immediacy. Steven Gordon grew up in his native town of Waukegan, Illinois. After having been self-taught in his early years, he decided on formal training in the arts. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelors degree in art. For his masters program, he chose Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri where he earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in painting. After graduate school Steven Gordon came west to settle in the Napa Valley. He secured a job with a local winery in Yountville which turned out to be a fruitful relationship since Gordon was given an annual showing of his ...

Stepan Koren - Born: Moscow, 1950 Education: Moscow Conservatory (cello), 1968-1973; High School of Applied Arts named after Mukbina, S-Petersburg, 1978-1983 Specialty: paintings, graphics, ceramics Member of the Union of Addicts of the Russian Federation and of the International Artists Foundation Residence: Moscow ...

Kah Wah Chong - To me, art is like a song. I wish my painting can wave up viewer soul, to feel the inner or the real characteristic of the object...or i hope the viewer can feel what i feel. Like music i basically using color and composition to compose my painting while ignore local color...and i also think i should draw what the world ought to be rather than what the world should look like...and the main thing is i really enjoy the PROCESS of painting....

Joanna Batherson - My inspiration for art has come from drawing and the nature surrounding our world. My painting began as a hobby and through taking many courses and instruction from various Maine artists, traveling in USA and abroad, and moving to beautiful California,it has become a wonderful and fulfilling part of my life....
