Yaroslav Kurbanov - Interview with artist Yaroslav Kurbanov 2011 How do you define what is art for you and what is not My attitude towards art in general and my art in particular is defined by the following points Firstly - A work of art has to have an idea, whether its current or already in the context of history. The main thing is that it should excite the viewer, awaken his senses and invite reflection. These days, artists often try to replace the whole palette of emotions that art is meant to evoke with plain shock and rejection. Secondly - The artist must find the right material, as well as the right technique and form, to express his idea in the best possible way. One should not stick blindly to any style, especially if it does not meet the objectives that the artist has set out to achieve. The work of art must come first, not the personality of the artist. And a work of art has to work even without the context of the person who created it. We may not know about the life of the artist, the travails of his artwork or his path, but the artwork must still impress us. ...
Natia Khmaladze - Through my art I try to explore innermost emotions within myself. Each of my work is born from a very personal journey and is a snapshot of a state of mind and sole in one specific moment in time. My characters, at times myself, are portrayed in subtle human moments, when we dare to take the mask off, letting the inner self shine through if only for split second. These precious split seconds are what I try to capture, save and cherish. We all, and so my characters, respond differently to life's challenges - by conforming, rebelling, accepting, renouncing. These are the stories told by my canvases. The catalyst for my art are my travels, self-discovery it entails and people I meet along the way, in remote train stations, in hectic cities on rout to the unknown, unmasked and bare soled. While concept of my pieces tends to be somewhat intovertive and blue, I make up for it by using vibrant, light colours. This is my way of not taking myself too seriously. By creating this contrast, I try to convey message of optimism, that even in our darkest moments, we can't help but retain curious mind, be ...
Hans Andre - Rarely do I willingly speak of my paintings. What I see is not necessarily the same as you see. The paintings should only be seen in the viewers own eyes. However, in my last solo exhibition during the fall in Milan, organized by Camaver Kunsthaus, an Italian asked why the people in the paintings are always blind. The answer is simple, although people may see physically, it does not make them look mentally. Unfortunately, most people are blind. Visit : www.hansandre.com...

Amimra Mimura - My artwork as A.Mimura is much known in different media such as the internet where A.Mimura facebook have more than thousands followers from the entire world. The work of A.Mimura is not an easy work because it's trespassed by expressionism and erotism creating a very unique language that remains provocative and simultaneously firm before the observer. In the line of Ernest Ludwig Krichner, Oskar Kokoschka, Otto Dix, Wassily Kandinsky, Egon Schiele, James Ensor, Munch, Picasso, etc, the work of Mimura goes beyond the mere sensation of reality, it gives you the vision of the psychological impression of everyday life experience touched by the fire of metaphysics. A.Mimura makes his position in Art as an independent artist. The naked and the human body, the mythological fauna, landscapes of the soul, which reflects a state of mind are the themes that A.Mimura explore using different styles and approaches with a proprietary position similar but oppositely distinct to Egon Schiele "everything, living, is dying," to Mimura "everything, dying, is living". ...
