Artists Describing Their Art:

Anita Zotkina - The subject of my artworks is a spiritual journey into subconscious world and exploration of our interconnectedness with each other and with all sentient beings in the Universe. My images are coming to me in the form of random downloads, that I draw down on a scratch paper, and which later I replicate in color. My main medium is oil on canvas aEUR" I enjoy its thickness and permanence. I also work with Acrylic on paper, it gives me an opportunity to create works of different texture and level of details. I am also working with charcoal and pastel. I strongly believe in a beautiful and harmonious world and trying to express the feelings of love, compassion, inner peace and appreciation. ...

Mark Schwing - Ideally the artist is employed by society at large. The artist helps define culture and culture makes us who we are in whatever time and place we are at. Of course most of us are not living in caves anymore but even then art helped society function; helped the hunter hunt, showed people what to do. Art is still showing people what to do in a way. Whether it is raising awareness by showing what is going on, teaching by example or simply exploring ideas that give people ideas. My art is about ideas as much as anything else but it is a surrealistic and intuitive approach. So what is presented isn't a literal interpretation, it is more like exploring the idea with art. It is really another reality. It mirrors our reality and/or it is influenced by our reality. I can't help but be affected by what is going on around me and I am interested in the transcendental as well. Please visit my website, www.markschwing1.com, for more images....

Ilya Kruglov - Dear friends My name is Ilya Krughoff, I was born in 1966. I live near the sea, on an island in Finland. I am an artist, musician and composer.Im inspired by the infinite world of music - the early medieval ascetic, the exquisite baroque sensitivity, the eternal perfection of classicalism, the stormy freshness of romance, a magical fantasy from the early 20th century, the soulless indifference and boundless passion modern art. I try to transfer my experience of musicians to canvas and paper in my best ability. Im glad to see you in my art gallery....

Svetoslav Stoyanov - Imagination and thought are endless and this is what I try to show in my works. The combination of symbols and details provokes people to think, and the elements painted realistically, allow greater understanding of the main idea. My preferred media is oil on canvas and my style surrealism....

Wojtek Kowalski - I am a self-taught person. ... My paintings rise from an internal need. I find inspiration in peace and quiet , by observing nature and people. My works show my own vision of the world. By using colours and simple forms I convey feelings and emotions as well as dreams and fantasies. Ideas spring to my mind when nothing happens around me. I am guided by my own sense of beauty and aesthetics. ...

Tyrone Webber - hi my name is tye I have been drawing for as long as I can remember for many years now with huge gaps in between. I recently started drawing again these last two years due to having to give up work and look after my wife wich has given me a little more time also to spend on my artwork I usually draw in graphite but secretely love to experiment with different ideas and would love to be able to paint as well as I draw but alas still under practice I try to make a statement in my mixed media works and at times have been told I do manage to stir emotions in my work which is what I do try and do I think theres nothing worse when once a work is completed then I take a look and it seems a little flat and meaningless with no soul and thats something wich I do try to avoid if I can I started mainly doing portraits but as we know the web is full of thousands of portrait artists all seem to be doing the same thing so I am trying things a lot differently one small ...

Erik Brede - Producing a link between the landscapeaEURtms reality and that imagined by its conceiver is what BredeaEURtms artwork focuses on. Influenced by renowned artist like Ansel Adams and Rene Magritte, Brede creates surreal and fine digital artwork . Brede follows a conceptual approach thus utilizing a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered manner. His work focuses on concrete questions that determine our existence. Erik Brede is a photographer and Photoshop artist, born in 1971 in Svolvaer, Lofoten Islands, Norway. His photography journey started at the age of 11 when his father introduced him to the great magic of film development and post-production in his low budget darkroom. Even if the old analog darkroom is replaced by Photoshop and Lightroom, his vision and craetive ideas are the same. With a conceptual approach, Brede tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way to produce a link between the landscapeaEURtms reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence. His work have been sold to television company, record industries and collectors all over the world, and published in books like aEUR~The Best of Photography 2014aEURtm, aEUR~The ...

Marco Tulio Espinosa - My love of painting has been with me since early childhood. I have always appreciated and am greatly influenced by the craftsmanship of the processes of the Old Masters in the Gothic and Renaissance periods. My paintings, although figurative, are composed in very much the same manner as that of an abstract work: form and color are my primary interest. When I begin a painting I donot have a preconceived idea in my mind; I use the figures to create a vibrant nucleus and the emergence of the final piece, you could say, is a product of the subconscious journey. My paintings do not depict a defined age or period; nor do they reflect the past or present. The figures in my works are in a state of introspection, detached and isolated from their surroundings. I love to play with unbalanced and, at times, absurd compositions in order to contrast the meticulous and detailed way in which I paint....

Aziz Anzabi - My base technique to create artworks is using real life natural events to create artworks with images or words from an imaginary world. Throughout my art I clearly elaborated the disposition (changing the shape of an object), and morphing of objects. I have long been intrigued and fascinated by these concepts. In my sculptures and painting, both figurative and abstract, I employ these aspects of a collective unconscious to evoke an emotional state within the viewer. In my figurative work, my goal is to capture the myriad changing state of the human condition through subtle changes in facial countenance and body language. The end result shows how the inner condition is expressed by the outward form while also conveying a timeless quality to human emotion. In my abstract sculptures, I have recreated the numinous quality of subconsciously shared images, stories, and ceremonial rites. The sculptures, themselves, are composed of abstract forms that are covered with a rich, textured surface. The end result is a complex organic piece that evokes a sense of ancient artefacts, of ritualistic objects from some unknown culture, or of imagined landscapes. However, be it figurative or abstract, my ultimate goal is to have the viewer feel ...
