  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Freydoon Rassouli - Creation is the product of synchronizing our energy with the universe. Once we experience the whole and recognize it, we become aware that we are nothing but the Divine Creative Force. I do not start a painting with sketches, I do not paint on location and I do not work from photos. Instead, many mornings, before the dawn, I climb a mountain to its peak. There , sitting in solitude, I observe rising of the sun. I watch plants open their leaves, buds tear up their dresses and the birds sing to the arrival of their creator. There is an interconnected serenity that allows all creatures to experience the divine unity. Having felt that creative energy, I rush to my studio, dip my brush into paint, and let it move freely on canvas. My paintings are inspirational for they allow the observer to experience infinite viewpoints and perceptions. They are not abstract for they represent what is actually more real than what our eyes are able to see. They allow the viewers to be inspired by taking their own perception beyond their senses and their surroundings. "Relationship" is the most important aspect of my work. I believe that dream and reality ...

Irina Greciuhina - For many years I have been leading an architectural bureau, working closely with interiors, textures, colors and product design. Architectural background is giving me a lot of ideas and knowledge, that I am transforming into my artworks. I am perceiving a process of the art creation as my personal cult and intimate ritual which gives me a freedom of expression. In my artistic practice I am interested in recording and showing the diversity and ambiguity of human nature as well as the mystery of all aspects of human personality. The main theme of my art is a study of the archetypes of a woman. I am recreating female images from different sources around me, including everyday life, fashion magazines and even internet. I keep wondering how personality and world perception of a woman can be affected by the external factors such as giving birth to a child, building a family or even changing the gender roles. The choice of this subject is stipulated by a continuous self-study, as an artist and as a woman, thus perceiving it as the most interesting and the dearest topic to me. Depicting female figures in a particular manner, I am placing them in ...

Tyrone Webber - hi my name is tye I have been drawing for as long as I can remember for many years now with huge gaps in between. I recently started drawing again these last two years due to having to give up work and look after my wife wich has given me a little more time also to spend on my artwork I usually draw in graphite but secretely love to experiment with different ideas and would love to be able to paint as well as I draw but alas still under practice I try to make a statement in my mixed media works and at times have been told I do manage to stir emotions in my work which is what I do try and do I think theres nothing worse when once a work is completed then I take a look and it seems a little flat and meaningless with no soul and thats something wich I do try to avoid if I can I started mainly doing portraits but as we know the web is full of thousands of portrait artists all seem to be doing the same thing so I am trying things a lot differently one small ...

David Evans - My artistic driving force is my continued obsession with four motifs - people, bicycles, buildings and landscape. I sometimes interpret these singly or coalesced within one work. The underlining inspiration for a good deal of my work comes from re-working and distorting quite traditional themes from art, literature, poetry and music. I like to jump the margins between illustration and fine art. Sifting recently through my work, observations, ideas and responses, I think itaEURtms fair to say that I see life, art and my surroundings in a somewhat quirky and whimsical visual wayaEUR| David Evans - Macclesfield Cheshire ...

Herman Van Bon - Keep investing in your childlike imagination is one of Hermans many quotes. He once traveled around the world as a technical photojournalist, nowadays he has been enjoying the beautiful, untouched nature in South Africa for almost 18 years now. Herman finds inspiration in the same nature. The perfect photo in the early morning is just the beginning of his creative journey I like to explore the possibilities and limits of digital art, I just let it flow to see where it can go, sometimes the end result appears quickly, sometimes the creative process takes months and other times the creation dies in its own beauty.
