Artists Describing Their Art:

Dick Drechsler - I have had a lifelong interest in photography. As a child, my best friends father owned a chain of photo processing plants, providing me the opportunity to learn much about the art. At the ripe old age of 14, I set up a darkroom in my bathroom. I even played around with my own primitive version of Photoshop by using an Exacto knife to cut negatives and merge images. Having spent most of my career in the resort development industry, I retired from that career in 2007 and have been posting quality images, doing commercial photography and photojournalism ever since. I am an active press member of the Los Angeles Press Club and accredited by the United States Press Agencys editorial board as a photojournalist and sports writer and am a member of the United States Press Association. I am also a Roving Reporter for Latitude 38, a contributor to the National Press Club, a photographer for Currents Magazine, Ventura County , CA, a contributor to Seven Seas Sailing Association and a photographer - contributor to Sharon, Ink, Public Relations. ...

No Born - Noborn He is an Italian artist of the genre graffiti. Milanese of 1990 NoBorn or unborn contemplates the world around him through the eyes of an innocent child and engages in thoughts and words that defile the canvas. His questions and his thoughts are sometimes prickly. His art is dirty. Color is dirty the canvas and make a side dish of what instead are the words of NoBorn the meaning of life. The MoBeArt Gallery unveils its new artist pouring many hopes on what he believes is an artist of great talent and of great interest to collectors of graffiti genre....

Barry Hurley - A momentaEURtms quiet grace is becoming harder to find these days. In a society obsessed with technological change and how we appear to others, itaEURtms now even more important to take time to reflect on the world we live in, the surroundings we create and how lives are impacted through the ordinary every day. My photography is a reflection of society today. It finds beauty in the mundane, significance in the abandoned and maybe, provides the viewer with a little hope as they join me sat on a beach at 5am waiting for the sun to rise. ...

Tim Guider - Tim, age 64 years, is an internationally renowned mural artist and sculptor. Born with a natural talent for art, at age 22 years Tim decided to pursue a career as an artist. He studied at the National Art School, Sydney and received an Artists Development Grant from the Australia Council. He now has 42 years of professional artistic development to bring to his work. Since the mid 1980s his murals, canvas paintings and sculpture have attracted an enormous amount of television and press coverage both nationally and globally. A few image examples of Tims work are included in this portfolio which clearly show the wide range of materials and techniques this artist has mastered. He includes sculpture effects in murals. He has painted his sculptures and even uses internal illumination as well as mechanical movement in sculpture. Much of Tims artwork has a theme of multicultural Australia and our Aboriginal heritage. I have known Tim for over 30 years. I was a young television journalist when I was first assigned to film his murals and interview the artist. Recently in October 2017 Tim wanted to unveil his break through work Enlightenment on the world stage. He exhibited two large Light ...

Jerry Di Falco - Photography inspires my visual art and also serves as a key element in the creation of my etchings. The images I employ originate from my own photographs, as well as those my research into the digital archives of universities, historical societies, libraries, museums, and foundations. Upon locating a photographed scene that I wish to translate into etching, I first make several drawings based on that scene. Moreover, using photography allows me to balance documented visuals with my personal interpretations within everyday scenes. I strive to create a convergence between the metaphysical and physical aspects of perceived reality. My etchings attempt to unveil what we mask behind personal assumptions. In other words my scenes unveil what we overlook in the ordinary world. Ironically enough, I blame this failure to notice reality . . . or what I call the phenomena of connectedness . . . on todayaEURtms infatuation with and addiction to the new communicational technologies. My artworks are windows through which people examine the mysteries of human consciousness. In fact, my use of multiple etching plates to create one etched design helps reinforce the illusion of seeing a scene through a window. Each individual area in my multiple-plate etchings becomes a windowpane separated by ...

Kimmie Hamm - Everywhere you dream to go can become a part of you and everywhere you have been is a part of you. I am an explorer and optimist at heart, so when I set out to create something one word always comes to mind: Possibilities I feel that through art I can explore the visions in my mind, everything from a small flower or blade of grass to distant worlds filled with whimsy and thoughts of what ifaEUR|aEUR|. Culturally I have two aspects that influence me one being my Native American ancestry and the other my German immigrant ancestry. I am deeply rooted in the beauty and wonderment of nature. My wise grandmother told me if you have strong roots your sprit can fly anywhere and still return home. That saying has always stuck with me and in many ways sparked my imagination. The explorer in me must come from my immigrant ancestry. My great grandfatheraEURtms family traveled to America on a steam ship in 1874. I can imagine them traveling for what must have seemed like an eternity. I often contemplate what they must have been thinking, and try to express the excitement of the unknown and the anticipation ...

Christian Klute - My main focus lies on detailed portraitart with a slightly twisted, dark touch. Elderly human faces, radiating some kind of depth and fragmentation are my biggest inspiration. I try to capture the essence of these subtle emotions by combining traditional realism with a more impressionistic, abstract approach. Visit my website www.christianklute.com for more of my work...

Arthur Robins - I WORK FROM A PLACE IN THE MIND, THAT I DISCOVERED, WHERE REALITY, IMAGINATION, MEMORY, AND THE DREAM WORLD MEET. MY Art , the creation of it, starts as either a drawing from on site [life], a drawing from imagination, or a direct painting or sculpting without preperation. I dont use photo or models. i paint how the mind sees....
