Wendy Lippincott - Complex allegories dominate the many themes that pervade Ms. Lippincott's paintings. Austen Pinkerton - Austen Pinkerton If I turn my mind to it very quickly I can come up with several ideas for works aEUR|paintings, drawings, or sculptures. Sometimes ideas come to me when I least expect it, or when my mind is on other things. Ideas can be related to my current experiences, or to my feelings about things that are happening to me in my life at that particular time. Alternatively they can be related to a current interest, or something that occupies my attention at that moment, and my ideas and feelings about which Id like to share with others. A lot of my work is autobiographicalaEUR|either directly or indirectly, consciously or subconsciously. It is frequently very personal, and expresses events or circumstances or experiences in my life. I usually work in either Acrylic on Canvas, Crayon or Pastel, or both together, with Gouache, on card, Drawing in pencil, or Ink, or both, or with creating SculptureaEUR|for which I use fired artists clay. Sculpture follows a completely different set of rules and values from two-dimensional art, obviously, I think of it as Drawing in three dimensions and I take this into account when creating mine. In all my...

My style is described as i?1/2Abstract Realismi?1/2 and my strength is found in the composition. Ii?1/2m drawn to diverse subject matter that challenges the viewer to see abstraction in the ordinary i?1/2 to meld the i?1/2reali?1/2 world with the i?1/2abstracti?1/2. ...

Frans Frengen - www.allart-frengen.be Fumagine is to paint with a flame, a sculpture of soot, an installation of smoke. It's no more or no less. Begun in 1976, Belgium was only with this "figurative" technique that probably would have been no goal without a cross pass from Yves Klein who created Art with fire. Only later frans learned also know the other three masters of the quartet from the zero period, Aubertin, Peeters and especially Otto Piene - the biggest idol of Frans. Frans Frengen has his noted fumagine - blue recovered in his experiments; it was precisely a blue like the other blue from his predecessor Yves Klein; associated as a complementary color to the color of soot so that he sees the possibility of being on a beach, walk a tide line of grains to approach contemporary art with the light in and on the soot that is recognized universally in each exhibition space and even in the universe by creating. In soot collected, Frengen, sees elements of figuration that are extremely varied. It's like an author he paints, draws and sculpts simultaneously, poetic, contemporary, recognizable, breathtaking shades with soot, sculpting with stains and holes. He add some ...

Hongvan Ng - A VISION COMES FROM A POINT WHERE THE IDEAS START. Painting is a powerful language in which I express myself and communicate. The message within each painting is an illustrated element or aspect of my life. I paint the moments that capture me, the beautiful and the painful for the exquisiteness of any moment can make me cry, and then I paint. Sketching and drawing are tools of my vocabulary with which I discover and reveal my thoughts and feelings, and when I forget that I am making art, when I am purely communicating, I am free. ...

Vasily Zolottsev - There is only one law in art which carries objective character and comes from the very nature, conditional character and illusiveness of art! It is an indispensable condition of creation of an artistic image! It is necessary to judge an artwork by intensity and importance of the image and force of its emotional influence! Style, manner and technique don't have any importance and they are equivalent! The good picture of a primitive artist can be much more valuable in the art sense than a 'competent' picture of a realist and on the contrary! If there is an image, there is a work of art, if there isn't, it's no use crying for the moon! And it is not important which art means it has been reached by! Everyone to his 'own' taste! ...
