Artwork Description:

Handbuilt burnished sculpture-vessel. The body of the vessel I burnished with a stone. I used the palm of my hand and my fingers to burnish the octopus. The vessel surface area that is enclosed by the tentacles is not burnished,so there are three textures in the desigd. I fired it with maize husks, coffee grounds, tea leaves, wolf hair, and human hair.
