Artwork Description:

I have been asked to consider smaller sizes - sizes under 1 meter. Over the years I have made lots of paper cut-outs. I have developed a very secure technique when it comes to color fastness. I have chosen 4 specific colors - red, yellow, green and blue, supplemented with black/white and in rare cases with grey and light blue. I silk-screen print these colors on quality sheets before I cut. Then the cut-outs are mounted and I have made a color fast paper collage in quality paper. I wrote an article on "Matisse and Louisiana" about an exhibition concerning Henri Matisse's "second Life". This encouraged me very much. In his "second life" Matisse made numerous paper cut-outs.
