Artists Describing Their Art:
Maria Burgaz - Being an artist is a vital need, that luckily can turn into a job. You cannot escape to the creative necessity, you have to look at it to the eye and give everything, knowing and assuming that the results are not uniform or predictable. Creativity gives freedom, offers the opportunity to live another reality, almost another life. And that energy is so strong that is always above any adversity, because itaEURtms food for your soul. This is my motivation and the energy that I need to go everyday to my studio to spend the best moments. Also the worse. In the creative activity not two days are the same, not two artworks are equal either, and that is adrenaline for me. The way of expression that I use more is painting, in its widest meaning. In this moment all techniques can live together because their differences enrich each other, and I get results full of plastic details that look for a sensorial emotion. Painting is above all just that painting on a surface that should provoke different emotions on people. But besides this first technical need in my work there are messages, stories, musicaEUR| there is life, my life. ...
Istvan Horkay - Kleist once wrote: ,,The Poet would be happiest if he could express his Thoughts without Words."(,,What an interesting Admission!" wrote Ludwig Wittgenstein.),,Someone, Somewhere" is how I title my Works, thinking of the Free Individual, who Himself has become the Center of the of Our Post Human Age, the Focus of Our Collective Memory. The Question is How to give Visual Expression to that Memory, so that the thus created Contents, can leave a Lasting Impression. An Idea or an Image acquires a New Dimension as it is combined with other Images....
Karen Stein - Karen Stein Art I encompass both acrylic abstract compositions and mixed mediumcollages as my preferred expression. My intention is to emphasize vibrant rich colors, bold brush strokes, line development and layers upon layers of textures Each canvas has its own personality developing visual storytelling, movement, and energy. I enjoy creating and pull ideas stimulated by my past in the fashion industry form, patterns, shapes, balance of colors, design etc. Creativity is play It is a spontaneous freeing adventure. I have learned to paint without expectations. No preconceived images in my mind. I start with a large blank canvas of nothingness, then play, then add, then take away, then add some more and then finally SEE.......My process has been resolved after applying the use of many tools, mark making, sanding, collage pieces added, or not, glazing, testing, and plain exploring sometimes taking risks. I hope to convey my love for art by stimulating emotional response from the viewer, be it feelings of quiet or intensity. My non representational finished pieces have been welcomed into many private homes. I am grateful that my talents are appreciated....
