Portrait, Digital Art. Conceptual Art, Figurative, Contemporary Art
This work is one of a series that was inspired by the head dresses of certain ethnic peoples in large part, the people from The Omo Valley who use vegetation and beads for their amazing head dresses, face and body decoration. However it was the idea of using something incongruous in a decorative way that lead to this work. This 30” x 45” work is printed on a specially prepared sheet of smooth aluminum. Metal Prints are the the newest medium for contemporary for presenting contemporary artworks especially because of the increased image stability and longevity that they have over traditional photo paper prints. Also the metal printing process produces stunning results. The dyes used in the printing are directly infused into the specially coated aluminum sheets and this gives a breathtaking luminescent quality to the finished work. All the colors and details in the work become very vibrant and the work also takes on incredible depth. A sheet of 12” thick, premium non-reflective acrylic is attached to the face of the metal print to complete the presentation. It is attached to the wall with 4 Stylish Black Aluminum Mounting Posts at each corner. All of the framing materials have been carefully chosen to compliment and enhance the finished print, so that it results in a cohesive and unique work of art. This work is shipped in a wooden crate with all the necessary mounting hardware attached so that it can be hung right after removing it from it’s crate.
