An image of a swarm of Monarch butterflieson a tree was the inspiration for this digitally created work. Oddly enough, all those orange colored wings in a wave of color intermingled with white and black, made me think ofAntelope Canyon. Specifically because I find the patterns and striations of the rocks so beautiful and enchanting. The subject’s hair also played into the striation idea that had already been percolating in my mind. Naturally butterflies had to be a part of the whole. This work is issued as a signed single original full size print on premium professional photo paper with a liquid like silver metallic finish. The print size is 24 x 3.6” However once it is matted and framed, the total size is increased to approximately 33” X 44.”The work is professionally framed with archival matting and a sheet of clear premium acrylic, instead of glass. The acrylic used in the framinghas a higher optical quality than glass and it is UV light resistant, so the work is well protected. Acrylic is 50 lighter than glass, and unlike glass is shatterproof so it can easily be shipped without worry of breakage. All of the framing materials have been carefully chosen to compliment and enhance the finished print, so as to provide a cohesive and unique original work of art. The framing is finished with a simple contemporary black wood frame with all the necessary hardware attached, so that you can hang it right out of the box..
